WELCOME TO BISB
Our Mission Vision and Values
We aim to be passionate life-long learners living sustainably in a dynamic world.
We nurture a compassionate community in which all children flourish.
We value being kind, resilient, inclusive, and curious.
The British International School of Brussels is a British Curriculum school for children aged 3 – 11, located centrally, midway between NATO and the European Commission.
CURRICULUM
The education provided by BISB is based on the National Curriculum for England and reflects the widely varying experiences of our pupil population and the international nature of the school at the heart of Europe. The curriculum is taught in English by native speakers, with specialist support for pupils whose mother tongue is not English. French language lessons are given by native speakers.
ENROLMENT PROCEDURE
The school year in Belgium starts at the beginning of September and is divided into 3 terms - Autumn, Spring and Summer. Schools are closed during July and August.
We accept enrolments throughout the school year.
FEES
Our fee structure is flexible and depends on the age of the child and, for Nursery, the chosen schedule. There is a monthly payment scheme and special arrangements for children arriving or leaving during the academic year.

SPORT
Sport and physical exercise are an essential part of the curriculum and feature in many of the extra-curricular activities on offer. These change regularly and include cricket, orienteering, football, tennis, yoga and archery.
ARTS, DRAMA & MUSIC
Considerable emphasis is placed on the Arts, both across the curriculum and in extra-curricular activities. Every child participates in musical productions at Christmas and in the summer.
CLUBS
Our after-school clubs (from 15.35 – 16.30) are very popular with the children and offer an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and to enjoy favourite activities with friends across the school.
